How verification works

What is a UETR?

A UETR is the Unique End-to-end Transaction Reference carried by every SWIFT payment. It is a 36-character UUID (version 4) that stays with the payment from the sending bank to the beneficiary, so every institution along the route reports against the same reference.

Where the data comes from

This is an independent service with no affiliation to any of the networks listed. When you submit a reference, our server checks the sources that permit direct lookups and reports what each one returns. Bank portals such as J.P. Morgan Access and Deutsche Bank require your own credentials, so for those we hand you a ready link and your reference rather than pretending to see inside your account. Nothing you enter is stored, and no payment is ever amended.
